A catch-all mailbox receives emails sent to inactive addresses under the exact same domain name. For instance, an email message sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can get emails from buddies or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at some point you may begin receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be delivered to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Web Hosting

You will be able to create a catch-all email mailbox without any effort if you have a shared web hosting account with our company. The Email Manager in our custom-developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel is feature-rich, yet exceptionally easy to work with, and it will allow you to activate various features, including the catch-all one, with only a couple of mouse clicks. All the email addresses that you’ve created will be listed in alphabetical order in this section and on the right-hand side of each of them you’ll find a tiny "Catch-all" symbol. Clicking on it once will activate this feature, clicking on it once more will disable it. Since you can have only one such catch-all mailbox per domain, our system will notify you if you’ve already got another one with this option activated or if you have activated email forwarding.
