Dot NAME Domain Names

Started in 2001, the .NAME universal top-level domain is the only one intended for personal web pages only. These domain names can consist of personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other labels people are famous by. At the beginning, only third-level registrations were allowed, so if you wished to obtain john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already grabbed third-level names remained functional.

Through our firm, you can obtain your dot NAME domain for a period between 1 and 10 years. You will have the chance to alter the WHOIS info, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an active domain to our firm if you take its EPP transfer authorization key from the current domain provider and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been finalized. There are no special rules on who can get a dot NAME domain, but in order to keep the objective behind its establishment alive, the dot NAME Registry may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain, the registration may be challenged.

The .NAME top-level domain name extension is amongst the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no extra cost. In this way, your .NAME domain will be recognized in your country or region with the precise spelling in your local language.
